"Explorative, innovative and inspiring… these are the adjectives that come into my mind when thinking back to Voss. It wasn`t always easy or diplomatic, peaceful, understanding, productive or efficient, but we all got through this together; We empathized like crazy, brainstormed in our sleep, developed a solution and presented it to a panel of experts as a team, and it was an honor for me to be part of it."

"The members of Team Seniors were from six different countries. Differences in communication and ways of working made this quite noticeable at times. However, the mix of cultures might have given us a better variety of perspectives while working on the project. In the end I think we ended up with a product we all could be proud of."

EXPERIENCES

As a conclusion, we agreed to all summarize our experience of working with the project.

"First I felt a bit embarrassed because of the unknown market. It seemed to be hard to figure out an offer for Norwegian seniors who I don’t know at all. We started to talk to people, which was a huge help. We found some common needs, fears and desires, which helped us moving forward to our solution. I really enjoyed this week and working with my team. It was nice to get out a bit of my comfort zone. I was satisfied with the solution we provided and I believe it would be useful not just in Norway but also in other countries, for instance in my country,  Hungary."

"For me, the Seminar was about clearing our expectations and suggested solutions. We had to put ourselves in Norwegian seniors shoes and come closer to the solutions step by step, motivated by Fede. Thanks to the group work our ideas were expanding and in the end we proudly presented our suggestions."

LINUS

"I have a lot of different impressions from the block seminar. At some points it was just amazing, for example when you find a 'golden nugget'. On the other hand, it was very challenging and frustrating at some points, for instance when we were empathizing. According to me, this is not a 'normal' thing to do in a Scandinavian society, which forced me to move out of my comfort zone. Undoubtedly, the overall experience was very useful and valuable."

"This week created a new definition of “teamwork” for me. I learned almost as much about myself as I learned about my before mostly unknown teammates. It was a week full of sweat, awkwardness, learning, smiles, with a cherry of satisfaction of job well done on top."
